Rosalind Miller Cake’s foray into dessert tables began when in 2013 they were asked to design and create two magical, show-stopping dessert tables to feed 1000 people, along with a 2 metre high wedding cake. The twist being that it was for a royal wedding…in the UAE. Of course, they jumped at the chance for an adventure and got very excited at the prospect of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Little did they know that it would be the first of many to follow.
They spent months making and designing cakes, developing recipes, and making sugar flowers. After many painstaking weeks of researching the best method of transportation, they shipped everything off to Dubai (including their team) and kept their fingers crossed that everything would arrive in one piece.
Miraculously, it all did. The end result was even more beautiful than they had imagined in their sketches and plans; a towering table overflowing with cupcakes, cake pops, macarons, meringues, cookies, truffles, tarts and layer cakes in soft pastels and golds.
Dessert tables are very popular at weddings, from a large visual extravaganza to feed 1000, to a themed sweet table to feed 50, this is certainly one sweet addition to your celebration.
Here are some examples of individual items that can be used to fill your dessert table.
